कभी–कभी दिल में ऐसी बात बस जाती है,
जो चाहकर भी लफ़्ज़ों में नहीं ढलती।
जैसे तेरा नाम…
तू कहीं दूर होकर भी दिल के सबसे क़रीब बस जाता है।
न जाने क्यों… पर तेरे बिना दिल को चैन नहीं मिलता,
और तेरे साथ हर लम्हा जैसे पहली मोहब्बत हो।

तेरी यादों का भी एक अलग ही नशा है।
ये जब भी आती हैं,
तो दिल को ऐसे महका देती हैं,
जैसे बारिश की पहली बूंदें सूखी ज़मीन को छूकर
उसे जिंदा कर देती हों।
मेरे दिन भी वैसे ही तेरी यादों से रोशन हो जाते हैं,
और रातें तुम्हारे ख्यालों में लंबी सी लगने लगती हैं।

दिल कितना भी समझा लूँ,
ये हर बात में तेरा ही नाम ढूंढता है।
तेरी एक झलक, तेरी एक मुस्कान,
मेरे दिल के लिए किसी दवा से कम नहीं।
कभी लगता है कि तू मेरे दिल में नहीं,
मेरी धड़कनों में बसता है।
कभी–कभी तो खुद से भी ज्यादा तुझे महसूस करता हूँ।

इश्क़ सिर्फ बोलने में नहीं होता,
कई बार खामोशियां भी बहुत कुछ कह जाती हैं।
तेरे साथ बिताए वो खामोश पल,
दिल में सबसे ज़्यादा आवाज़ करते हैं।
कभी–कभी लगता है कि मेरी हर सांस में बस तू ही तू है,
और तेरे बिना तो मेरी कहानी भी अधूरी है।

कभी–कभी दिल टूट भी जाए,
तो भी मोहब्बत खत्म नहीं होती।
टूटे हुए दिल में सबसे ज़्यादा मोहब्बत बसती है।

दिल उसी इंसान को और भी गहराई से याद करता है।
